The Special Surveillance Group (SSG) is a unit of non-agents within the Federal Bureau of Investigation specializing in plain clothes surveillance of foreign agents and terrorism suspects. SSG members are titled "Investigative Specialists."

On October 17, 2006 the Washington Times reported that a co-writer of the movie Breach, Adam Mazer, had created a television series about the group called "Ghosts."
